Tenley's journey into the field of aesthetic medicine has been deeply rooted in lifelong exposure to the industry. Her father, a plastic surgeon, owned and operated his own practice, providing her with a unique upbringing immersed in the world of aesthetic medicine. This early exposure fueled her passion for the field and inspired her own aspirations in the realm of healthcare.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina with her Bachelor of Science in nursing, Tenley gained experience working as a trauma nurse in the hospital emergency room. While the hospital environment offered invaluable learning experiences, she found herself constantly drawn back to the world of aesthetics.
Tenley's career as an aesthetic nurse injector began taking shape in California's vibrant medical spa landscape. Driven by a desire to create a space where individuals could confidently and safely address their aesthetic concerns, she opened her own practice, Starr MedSpa, in 2020.

The GLP-1 shot has been a game changer for me. I am 4 yrs into my perimenopause and my weight gain was bad. Luckily I have healthy eating and gym habits but my body decided those are no longer “good enough”. After a lot of research on glp-1s I decided to give it a try with Starr MedSpa (Studio City). The team is very informative, kind and SO GENTLE with the shots. When I had minor side effects they adjusted my dose and now I’m back on track. I have lost 5 lbs in 1 month (this is a normal- healthy way to lose weight) and I feel really great on this medication!

I love coming to Starr MedSpa! It is incredibly beautiful and such a relaxing place. I've been going to nurse Alii to get my slim shot for the past couple months and omggg the results have been amazing!!! I've lost 15lbs within 3 months. I've had no side effects, everything has been great! Nurse Alii has been wonderful and I always feel comfortable in her care.
