What Is Our Injection Technique?
Maintaining the results of lip augmentation requires a thoughtful approach, even though the initial treatment is quite straightforward. A numbing cream is often applied beforehand for optimal comfort during maintenance sessions. Additionally, at the start of each maintenance appointment, we might provide a small ice pack for you to apply to your lips. This not only cools the area, helping to numb the nerves for reduced discomfort but also causes the blood vessels to constrict. This constriction is beneficial in significantly reducing both swelling and bruising that can occasionally follow lip filler injections. We use small quantities of hyaluronic acid-based fillers for maintenance injections. These fillers are carefully administered with a fine needle with the whole process typically completed within 60 minutes.
